This is a riverside residential community at Changsha New River Delta. We took the urban viewpoint at the riverside and the pedestrian viewpoint around the plot into full consideration in the design, and concentrated on creating a nightscape with depth of focus for the residential community. Under the guidance of main thoughts, the urban background has been made as distant view, lighting for public activity area of the community and the residences’ facades facing courtyards as middle view, and lighting for facades along the river as nearby view, using different points, lines and planes to draw the levels of night scenes, creating three-dimensional nightscape experience.
